F. A. Q s. Terms. & Conditions
Can I use it outdoors ?
Outdoor furniture use is at your own discretion. Whilst beeswax and oil polish is applied that is weatherproof, outdoor use is beyond my control. Temperature variations, sunlight and water will break down most preservatives given time. I sometimes find weathered old pieces of timber that have survived these elements and make better outdoor furniture that looks more fit for purpose. The choice is therefore yours to make.

Commissions ?
Commissions are undertaken on the followings terms :
On receipt of 100% cleared funds to my bank a start will be made on fabricating your desired item.
Once completed you will be notified of a mutually convenient date and time for collection or delivery.
Your order needs to be clear and specific with a sketch and approximate sizes if known. An idea of your preferences of wood species is also helpful.
I use predominantly English Hardwoods, though it may have been sourced in European countries. The timber used is either dry seasoned or green timber as appropriate.
Newly made rustic furniture should not be placed close to a source of heat such as a log burner or radiator. Rapid drying is a risk that can cause splitting or warping of timber even if it's already seasoned. Kiln dried timber can also re-absorb moisture and later dry out from its natural state of 15% to 17% moisture content.
Every endeavour will be made to provide a soundly made piece of furniture that will give many years of service and be treasured. I invest my very best efforts in time and handy-work towards this end. However If you are not entirely satisfied with the item it can be returned to me within 21 days (undamaged and in saleable condition) for a refund which will be made to you once the item has been re-sold elsewhere, less a handling charge of 10%.
